Garry Lynn Hammonds

Garry Lynn Hammonds, 65, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday, February 22, 2016. He was born September 5, 1950 in Monroe, NC son of John Hammonds, Jr. and Eleanor Starnes Hammonds. Mr. Hammonds was a veteran of the US Army. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Corinth Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. He is survived by his father, John Hammonds, Jr. and mother, Eleanor Starnes Hammonds, one daughter, Angela Hammonds Eudy and husband Brian Nathaniel Eudy, (children) Brian Eudy, Jr. and Kimberly Eudy, two sons, Christopher John Hammonds and wife Ashley Boyce Hammonds (children) John Hunter Hammonds and Christopher Gavin Hammonds, Rusty Hammonds and Brittany Rollins (children) Ansleigh Reese Hammonds, one sister, Diane Poole and husband Eddie Poole. He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Eugene Hammonds. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28112.
