Gary McHugh Hance, 79, of Waxhaw, NC, went to heaven on Friday, June 19, 2026. He was born in Jefferson County, TN on February 26, 1947, son to the late Hugh Hance and Oma Davis Hance. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Sabra Lewis Hance, and daughter, Christina Hance.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Lakeland Memorial Park.

Gary is survived by his son Eric Hance, stepson, Rodney Gordon (Ramona), four grandchildren, Tyler Hance (Sierra), Christian Simmons, Milly Simmons, Bailey Hance, two great grandchildren, Mckinley Hance, Kalani Hance, multiple step-grandchildren and two sisters, Louise Long and Dean Prevette.
