Gary Lee Rushing

Gary Lee Rushing, 70, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at Hospice of Union County. He was born in West End, NC on June 7, 1943 son of the late Roscoe and Alma Lee Rushing. Gary was a graduate of Campbell University and worked for Rushing Insurance Agency for over 20 years. He is a forever Tarheel fan. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112 followed by the funeral service at 6:00 in the Gordon Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the West End Cemetery, West End, NC. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Satterly Rushing, identical twin step-daughters, Lori Fitzpatrick and husband Dan and Jill Dana Deal and husband Joe, both of Matthews, 5 grandchildren, brothers, Billy Rushing (Elsie) and Gilbert Rushing (Kathryn), 1 nephew and 4 nieces.
