Gary Dale Starnes

Gary Dale “Birdie” Starnes, 65, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021. He was born May 6, 1956 in Union County, NC son of James Brice Starnes, and the late Nellie Belk Starnes. He graduated from Parkwood High School. He went to work for Alvac in 1996 and retied in 2020 with just a little less than 25 years of service. Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Sandy Ridge Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. In addition to his father Gary is survived by his loving wife of 28 years Linda Privette Starnes, two daughters: Amanda Melton (John), & Lauren Crews (Jon), a brother Glenn Starnes (Gail), four grandchildren: Jordan Melton, Mikayla Melton, Josie Crews, & Calla Crews.
