Gaylene Miller Price passed away on Wednesday evening, January 20, 2016 at Pineville CMC. She was born to parents Royal William Miller Mildred Gay Miller in Jefferson City, MO. Gaylene graduated from Jefferson City Senior High before receiving a B.A. in English from the University of Missouri--Columbia. She was a sports enthusiast and rooted her high school and college teams on as a cheerleader for each. She met and married Gordon Price in Jefferson City and moved to St. Louis where together they raised their two sons Chad and Todd. Gaylene’s entrepreneurship led her to be a co-founder of P.I.M, a successful inventory maintenance company. While raising her family in St. Louis, she developed many lifelong friends and continued to share new memories with them after moving to California and ultimately settling in Charlotte. In Charlotte she entered the real estate industry with Prudential as a realtor before joining Allen Tate where she spent over 18 successful years. She took great pride in exceeding client needs and expectations. She enjoyed working with her colleagues and the friendships that developed. Charlotte also blessed her with many great friends throughout the community. Gaylene was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother DorothyMae Edwards Miller and her nephew Kirk Nicholas Harris. She is survived by her husband Gordon; sons Chad Price (Melissa) of Phoenix, AZ, Todd Price of Great Falls, SC, who she was so very proud of and loved dearly; sisters Mary Grace Harris (Larry) of Greenville, SC; Martha Ann Hartz (Don) of Tebbetts, MO; grandchildren Carson and Reghan Price of Phoenix, AZ, her greatest joys in life.
