Donald Eugene Gene Adams, 74, of Jefferson, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2017. He was born December 25, 1942, in Union County, NC, to the late Lamar Adams and Vera Rorie Adams Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Jill Adams and brother, Murray Adams Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Barbara Robinson Adams, son, Tony Adams and wife, Beth, of St. Simons, GA, daughter, Amy Baker of Rock Hill, SC, step-daughter, Karen Bursch of Waxhaw, brothers, Norman Martin of Monroe and Aubrey Martin of Monroe, sister, Julie James and husband, Charles, of Wingate, sister-in-law, Linda Adams of Monroe, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2017, in Beulah Presbyterian Church, 8305 Landsford Road Monroe, NC 28112.
