Mr. George E. Davis, Jr., 80, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014. He was born in Camden, New Jersey on October 8, 1933 son of the late George E. Davis and Marion Kaufmann Davis. Mr. Davis retired from the US Air Force after serving 20 years and also retired from the Federal Reserve Bank after 23 years. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM Friday, September 26, 2014 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 13700 Lawyers Rd., Mint Hill, NC 28227 followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, Harrisburg, NC. Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Rita T. Davis, sons, John M. Davis (Tae) of Unionville, Gregory G. Davis of Mint Hill, and Christopher Davis (Teresa) of Mooresville, brothers, Robert Davis and George Wolfert, both of New Jersey and 5 grandchildren.
