George Lee Estridge

George Lee Estridge, 92, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013. He was born in Union County, NC on August 2, 1920 son of the late George Washington and Lessie Jane Plyler Estridge. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Estridge was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Brantley Estridge and brothers, Roland and George, Jr. and sister, Mildred Self. He is survived by sons, Robert Lee Estridge of Raleigh, Roger Dale Estridge of Stanfield, daughter, Doris Jean Williams of Polkton, brothers, Boyce Estridge of Monroe and Gerald Estridge of Pensacola, Florida and 7 grandchildren.
