George Lavenn Presson

George Lavenn Presson, 84, of Monroe, passed away Friday, December 16, 2016. He was born October 23, 1932, in Union County, NC to the late Henry Lee and Lura Gertrude Funderburk Presson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Presson was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn McNeely Presson. He is survived by his two daughters, Vickie P. Cameron and husband, Don, of Monroe and Kathy P. Privette and husband, Terry, of Monroe; one brother, Morris Lee Presson of Monroe; one sister, Euleta P. Walters of Lancaster, SC; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, followed by interment in Lakeland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Mt.
