Gerald Wayne Melton, Sr., 49, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014. He was born in Union County, NC on October 10, 1965 son of Benjamin Franklin Melton and the late Mable Ann Aldridge Melton. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends following the service. Mr. Melton is survived by his wife, Resa Melton, sons, Gerald Melton, Jr. and Stephen Melton, both of Monroe, brothers, Randy Deese of Pageland, SC, Tracy Harrington of Marshville and Cosmos Melton of Monroe.
