Gladys Shaffer Hiler, 89, of Monroe, NC passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024. She was born in Bristol, Virginia, on September 16, 1934 daughter to the late James M. Shaffer and Cecil Houser Shaffer. She is also preceded in death by her eight siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Gordon Funeral Chapel, with entombment in Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Gladys is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James C. Hiler, two daughters, Elaine Freitag (Bob), and Sandra Hiler (beloved friend Irene); brother, Bruce Shaffer; and two grandchildren, Parker Freitag, and Lauren Freitag, her beloved fur baby Bentley.
