Gordon Baskerville Houser

Gordon Baskerville Houser, 93, went to his eternal home in Heaven on June 6, 2016. Born in Charlotte, NC, on March 4, 1923, he was the son of the late Dr. O.J. Houser and the late Grace Baskerville Houser. He is survived by his wife Shirley, his daughter Cynthia, his son David and his wife, Anna, and four grandsons. He graduated from Central High School in Charlotte in 1941 and attended Clemson University until he was drafted into the Air Force where he served in World War II. He was a true patriot and loved his country. He was an accomplished violinist. He played in church, at nursing homes, and at the White House during Christmastime in 1991 at the invitation of President George H. W. Bush. Gordon was a very spiritual man. He loved the Lord deeply and loved his family with all of his heart. A private graveside service was held on June 8, 2016. Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory is caring for the Houser family.
