Gordon Lee Toudt, Sr., 88, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2015. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on November 22, 1926, son of the late James Lee and Ethel May Keeler Toudt. Mr. Toudt is survived by his wife, Mae Kwiatkowski Toudt; sons, Gordon Toudt, Jr. and wife Connie of Wingate, NC and James Toudt of Norfolk, VA; daughter, Diane Toudt Robertson of Wadesboro, NC; two grandchildren, Joseph Toudt and Jason Toudt of Wingate, NC; and a brother, Harold Toudt of Wisconsin. Mr. Toudt served in the Navy during WWII, then after his discharge in 1945 he started work with The Sunbeam Corporation in Chicago, IL as a Quality Control Engineer. After over 30 years of service with Sunbeam, he worked with the Hamilton Beach Corporation of Little Washington, NC while living in Greenville, NC, where he retired. He later moved to Wingate, NC when he was 77. He was always an active church member over the years. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 4:00 PM in Midway Baptist Church, 4615 Olive Branch Church Rd., Monroe, NC.
