H. A. Griffin

Dateline: Marshville, NC H. A. Griffin, 84, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 at Autumn Care. He was born in Union County, NC on August 16, 1928 son of the late Zeb Vance and Lois Gaddy Griffin. Mr. Griffin was a retired yard master with Southern Railroad and a member of Marshville United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Marshville United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM also in Marshville United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. Roger Sailors, Rev. Rocky Carpenter and Mr. Bill Walters. Burial will follow in Marshville City Cemetery. Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Lucy Mitchum Griffin, son, Michael Eugene Griffin of Charlotte, daughters, Deborah Solomon and husband Jim of Charlotte, Dolly H. Harrington and husband Johnny of Wadesboro, Deloris H. Billingsley and husband Rick of Oak Island, sister, Virginia Bullock and husband Robert of Jefferson, GA, 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
