Monroe, NC H. F. McCray, Jr., passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010. He was born in Chesterfield County, SC on August 13, 1923 son of the late Hurley Franklin and Mary Francis Snyder McCray. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Wolf Pond Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. McCray is survived by his wife, Joy Love McCray, son, Benny McCray, daughters, Ann McCray and Amy McCray, brother Carroll McCray, all of Monroe, sisters, Dorothy Sapp of Pageland, SC, Margaret Brown of Walhalla, SC, and Martha Sayers of Concord, and 3 grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Jesse Helms Nursing Center and Hospice of Union County.
