Mr. Harold Dean Carter, 75, of Monroe, NC passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, September 21, 2026. He was born in Union County, NC on May 5, 1951, son to the late Reece Carter and Mary Baker Carter. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Carter and sister-in-law, Lorretta Carter.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Harold is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine “Deane” Carter, son, Jason Carter (Cherie), daughters, Deana McIntosh (Brian), and Kayla Carter (Katherine), stepson, Travis Moser (Briana), and stepdaughter, Amy York (Steve), brother, Bill Carter (Mary), sister, Debra Carter, five grandchildren, Emerson Carter, Kenzie Carter, Zoe McIntosh, Camden Deese, and Trenton York, great-granddaughter, Sadie York, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Atrium Health Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd, Monroe, NC 28110.
