Harriette Rose Harle

Harriette Hopkins Harle, 73, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023. She was born on February 15, 1950, in Stanly County, daughter of the late Eugene Hopkins and Shirley Nettles Canady.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. Entombment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends and relatives prior to the service from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m.

She graduated from Scotland High School and joined the workforce in a myriad of professional positions supporting her son as he grew to adulthood. Harriette was a wonderful mother and person who always had a quick smile and a humorous story to tell. She was a prodigious artist creating handmade items ranging from paintings and scrapbooks to beautifully crafted greeting cards and book bindings. Her greatest achievement was seeing her son and grandchildren grow strong and prepared for their futures.

Harriette is survived by her husband of 34 years, Brian Harle; son, Martin Britt (Shelly); grandchildren, Alexis, Olivia and Ethan Britt and her brother, Gene Hopkins (Becky).
