Harry Lewis Derr, Jr., 87, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015. He was born in Baltimore, MD on December 9, 1927 son of the late Harry Lewis and Ella Kratz Derr. Mr. Derr was a US Navy veteran and a retired Probation Officer. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 2:00 until 2:45 PM at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 4421 Old Hickory Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720 followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. Burial will be in the Waxhaw City Cemetery. Mr. Derr is survived by his wife, Ethel Louise Barrett Derr, sons, Harry “Skipper” Derr, III of Holly Springs, NC and Eric Derr of Creedmore, NC, daughters, Diane Adkins of New Mexico and Annette Bowles of Sanford, NC, step-son, David Max Toney of Las Vegas, grandchildren, Leslie Stone, Michelle Rosser, Josh Derr, Brendan Derr, Katie Derr, Sydney Derr, Brian Derr, Max Toney and Vincent Toney, great grandchildren, Hailey Bagley and Emma Rosser.
