Hayne Maurice “Toon” Tarlton, 77, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017. He was born in Union County, NC, January 19, 1940, son to the late Oscar Lee Myrtle Tomberlin Tarlton, he is also preceded in death by a grandchild Justin Tarlton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, July 31, 2017 at Gordon Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Shiloh Advent Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM at the funeral home. Hayne is survived by his loving wife Sharon Watts Tarlton, son Everett Tarlton of Burlington, daughter Amy T. Thomas of Indian Trail, step son, Kelly Rayburn of Waxhaw, brother Theron Tarlton of Indian Trail, two sisters, Patsy Taylor of New London, and Brenda Helms of Monroe, three grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren..
