Hazel (Bliss) Starnes

Hazel Bliss Starnes, 83, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012. She was born September 22, 1929 in Union County daughter to the late Albert Edward Bliss and Martha Jane Helms Bliss. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Starnes, children; Bill Starnes (Kay), Wanda Morrison (Hank), Debbie Keeter, and Jeff Starnes (Lynn). Grandchildren; Patrick Starnes, Kyle Starnes, Tonya Hance, Crystal Hicks, Amanda Cherry, Tammy Tadlock, Tony Keeter, Nicole Keeter, Samantha Starnes, 14 great grand children, 3 great-great grandchildren and sister, Beatrice Brantley. A grave-side service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 9 2012 in Lakeland Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Bill Englebreth. The family will receive friends at Gordon Funeral Service Crematory 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 W. Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe, NC 28110. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Union County for their compassionate care.
