Hazel Wilson Walkup

Hazel Wilson Walkup, 81, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014. He was born May 27, 1933 in Union County, son of the late William Albert and Sara Sistare Walkup. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Walkup, and sister, Sara Alberta Walkup. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Funeral services will be Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Tirzah Presbyterian Church, followed by burial in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. Mr. Walkup is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Caskey Walkup; his sister, Iva W. Noles of Waxhaw; sister-in-law, Marie Walkup of Florence, SC; niece Susan Noles Wiley and four nephews, Robin Walkup, Tom Walkup, Bill Walkup and David Walkup.
