Helen Belk Robinson

Dateline: Monroe, NC Ms. Helen Belk Robinson, 84, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012. She was born June 29, 1927 in Union County to the late Carl and Myrtle Belk. She retired as the cafeteria assistant manager at Prospect School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Robinson; brothers Carl, Harold and Donald Belk and sisters Marjorie Pennigar and Mavis Penegar. Ms. Robinson is survived by her sons Dennis Robinson and wife Debbie of Monroe, Rudy Robinson and wife Georgia of Hartsville SC; daughter Iris Moser and husband Rick of Waxhaw; brother Jimmy H. Belk and wife Betty of Monroe; sister Shirley Starnes and husband Davis of Monroe; grandchildren, Erica Robinson, Cole Robinson, Neil Robinson, Devin Moser, Brianna Burch and Cameron Moser; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 3:00 PM in Bethlehem United Methodist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives Saturday, June 16, 2012 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC.
