Helen Williams Clayton, 93, of Monroe, NC, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026. She was born on March 8, 1933, daughter to the late Cleamon Aaron Williams and Dora Ethel Drake Williams. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Blaine Phillip Clayton, sister, Georgia Howard, brother-in-law Harold Howard, and brother, CA Williams.

She retired from State Farm as an insurance claims specialist. She was a volunteer with Council on Aging and enjoyed serving with the Meals on Wheels Team. She was a faithful and dedicated member to Antioch Baptist Church.

Helen is survived by her two brothers, Johnny Williams and wife, Mary Hazel, Danny Williams and wife, Bonnie Lynn, sister-in-law, Betty Williams, two nieces, Dana Berry, and Tammy Austin, six nephews, Anthony Williams, Stacy Williams, Eric Williams, Byron Williams, Greg Howard, and Jimmy Crowell, as well as great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church, 6223 Love Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110, with a burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM in the sanctuary.
