Monroe, NC Helen Leszczynski Czemkowski, 94, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013. She was born in Wayne County, Michigan on June 18, 1918, daughter of the late Joe and Laduriqa Staweka Leszczynski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Czemkowski. Ms. Czemkowski is survived by her daughters, Betty Locklear and husband Emlin of Monroe and Mary Dirette and husband Gary of Houghton Lake, MI; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Cornerstone Community Church of the Nazarene, 2707 Secrest Shortcut Road, Monroe, NC 28110, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives Monday, April 22, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM in Cornerstone Community Church.
