Helen Helms Griffin, 92, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2015. She was born in Union County, NC on October 12, 1922 daughter of the late James Sanders and Fannie Ethel Steele Helms. The family will receive friends Friday, February 20, 2015 from 1:00 until 1:45 PM at Hermon Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Entombment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hubank Griffin. She is survived by a niece, Carolyn Helms and sister-in-law, Sara Culp Helms.
