Helen Floride Gulledge

Helen F. Gulledge of Charlotte left this world suddenly on March 6, 2024, at the age of 79. She is a native of Monroe and was the daughter of the late John and Ann Benton and Benjamin Gulledge.

Helen was a devoted member of The Little Church on the Lane Moravian Church in Charlotte. She also devoted her life to mission work, serving often in Alaska and as far as Africa. She walked out her faith by serving her community in many ways. She was an excellent cook and crafter and enjoyed sharing her gifts with friends and strangers alike.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Ben Gulledge, Charles Lamar Benton, and David Benton. She is survived by her sister Paulette Benton of Lillington, several nieces, a nephew, and their families.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 23rd at 2:00 PM at The Little Church on the Lane of Charlotte, 522 Moravian Lane, Charlotte, NC 28207.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Helen’s home church in her memory.
