Helen Plyler Johnson, 79, of Monroe, NC, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2021. She was born in Union County on April 4, 1942 daughter to the late Barnes Heath Plyler and Ola Rogers Plyler. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband James Heyward Johnson, as well as their son Chris Johnson. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 6907 Gus Eubanks Rd, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will visit with friends following the service. Helen is survived by her son Lane Johnson and Darla Johnson Snipes but of Lancaster, SC, and two grandchildren.
