Helen Marie Lathan

Mrs. Helen Marie Secrest Lathan, 92, of Monroe, NC passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021. She was born in Union County on February 20, 1928, daughter to the late Bruce Secrest and Pauline Benton Secrest. She is also preceded in death by her step-mother Mabel Secrest and husband Randall Lathan, and a sister Joan Secrest Fielden. A private graveside service will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Grace United Methodist Church Cemetery, 3522 Secrest Shortcut Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. Marie is survived by her son Eric Randall Lathan, wife Anita, two grandchildren, Heather Marie Cashwell, husband Richard, Matthew Randall Lathan, one great-grandchild, Alyssa Cashwell, brother, Pat Secrest, wife Gayle, brother-in-law, Joe Fielden and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Grace United Methodist Church, 3522 Secrest Shortcut Road, Monroe, NC 28110.
