Helen Simpson Van Huss

Mrs. Helen Simpson Van Huss, 81, of Rock Hill, SC passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020. She was born in Union County, NC on November 7, 1938 to the late Samuel Simpson and Margaret Huey Simpson. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Dennis Francis Van Huss, brother, Bill Simpson and sister, Jean Cole. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Tirzah Presbyterian Church, 7507 Tirzah Church Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Family and friends are welcome to come by to pay their respects from 1:00pm until 2:00pm Saturday, May 2, 2020 at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. Helen was a stewardess for Eastern Airlines in the late 50’s and 60’s and later worked for her son-in-law in his Chiropractic Office. She is survived by her daughter; Frances Allison Van Huss Curtis, husband Dr. Ken Curtis of Rock Hill, SC, brother, Benny Simpson of Monroe, NC, sister, Carolyn Starnes of Waxhaw, NC, two grandchildren, Dr. Samuel Francis Curtis and Elisabeth Lee Curtis.
