Homer Eugene Deese

Homer Eugene Deese, 78, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2022. He was born November, 3, 1943, son of the late William Armstrong Deese and Carrie Jane Helms Deese. He is also preceded in death by his son, Billy Ray Deese; granddaughter, Kenda Lynn Deese (Mercer); and all of his siblings. Graveside services will be held 1:00PM Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Lakeland Memorial Park, 1901 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. The family will receive friends Saturday, 12:00PM until 12:45PM at Gordon Funeral Service & Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112. Homer is survived by his wife, Lou Ellen Helms Deese; his daughters, Alisa Deese (Brian Baucom) of Monroe, Carrie King (Joseph) of Monroe, and special daughter, Teresa Sorrow; grandchildren, Michael Eugene Deese (Jessica) of Shelby, Richard Timothy Carroll (Megan) of Charlotte, Casey Lee Strama, Brian Austin DeVoe (Savannah) of Monroe, Brandon James DeVoe of Monroe, Madison Marshell DeVoe of Monroe and Wesley Thomas DeVoe of Monroe; great-grandchildren, Seth Mercer and Hunter Mercer of Rock Hill, SC, Jacqueline Deese of Shelby, Addison and Oaklynn DeVoe of Monroe, and his beloved dog, Lil Bit.
