Hoyle Lance Penegar, 70, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. He was born in Kannapolis on February 7, 1943 to the late Rev. Watt Mildred Liles Penegar. Mr. Penegar served in the U.S. Navy and was owner of Penegar Realty and Appraisal Service. He co-founded the Layman’s Film Ministry in 1978. He founded the Christian Businessmen’s Prayer Lunch in 1976 and was a member of Gideons International. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 1:30 PM in First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, conducted by Rev. Mike Whitson. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives beginning at 11:30 prior to the service. Mr. Penegar is survived by his wife, Bobbie Privette Penegar; children, Teresa Bowman and husband Phillip of Matthews, Mark Peneger and wife Vickie of Monroe, David Penegar and wife Gail of Monroe and Kelli Duncan and husband Jim of Indian Trail; siblings, Kay Stegall, Charles Penegar, Joel Penegar and Max Penegar, and Aunt Macie Geddis and cousin, George Edward Rape, all of Monroe; sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
