Hoyt "Butch" Malcolm Ferguson

Hoyt “Butch” Malcolm Ferguson Jr., 77 of Monroe, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. He was born in Union County, NC on January 17, 1948, son to the late Hoyt Malcolm Ferguson and Jewell Sartain Ferguson.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00PM until 1:45PM at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Butch is survived by his loving wife, Laura Houston Ferguson, and his two sons, Hoyt “Tripp” Malcolm Feruson III (Tammy), and Cameron ‘Cam” Austin O’Donahue (Laura), three sisters, Judy McKay, Mary Lou Friedman, and Martha Herrera, two grandchildren, Evelyn Cathleen O’Donahue and Austin Malcolm O’Donahue, brother-in-law, John “J.B.” Houston IV (Sonja), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends Harry “Bubber” Parks (Mary), Linda Lawrence, Bill Mills, Taft Mills.
