Hurley Benton

Dateline: Wingate, NC Hurley Benton, Jr., 74, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008. He was born in Union County, N C on January 27, 1934 son of the late Hurley G. and Nancy Odessa Stegall Benton. Mr. Benton was a US Army veteran and an Allstate Insurance agent. Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 25, 2008 at l:00 PM at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. Mr. Benton was preceded in death by a brother H. P. Benton. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Stallings Benton, sons, Rick Benton of Wingate and Matthew Benton of Monroe, brother, Harvey Benton of Wingate, sister, Joyce Robinson of Monroe, grandchildren, Niki Benton Mayes, Mandy Benton, Keith Benton and Tylor Benton. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30 until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC.
