Ignacio Melchor-Arreola

Ignacio Melchor-Arreola, 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. He was born in Mexico on April 10, 1939, son to the late Clemente Melchor-Avalos and Gracia Arreola-Vargas. He is also preceded in death by his sister Maria Melchor, brother-in-law Amador Salgado, and two grandchildren, Alvaro Melchor, and Adriana Melchor.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1095 E. Franklin Street, Monroe, NC 28112, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Gordon Funeral Service and Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Ave, Monroe, NC 28112.

Ignacio is survived by six sons, Alejandro Melchor (Erika Rangel), Ignacio Melchor, Arnoldo Melchor (Belen Islas), Rejinaldo Melchor (Mariana Garcia), Joaquin Melchor (Ana Garcia), Orlando Melchor (Nancy Perez); three daughters, Oliva Melchor (Moises Ortiz), Evidalia Melchor (Bulmaro Perez), Magdalena Melchor (Hector Diaz); brother Joaquin Melchor (Mercedes Salgado); and twenty-five grandchildren, Ricardo Melchor, Eduardo Melchor, Adrian Melchor, Daniel Melchor, Angel Melchor, Moises Ortiz, David Ortiz, Sarhahi Ortiz, Santiago Ortiz, Angel Ortiz, Anajancy Melchor, Ivan Melchor, Johana Melchor, Naomi Melchor, Estefany Melchor, Axel Gael Melchor, Alexa Sofia Melchor, Hector Jr. Diaz, Jocelyn Diaz, Liliana Perez, Aylin Perez, Emily Perez, Sebastian Melchor, Gabriel Melchor, and Alexandra Melchor.
