Irene Alma Crunkleton, 90, of Monroe, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at CMC-Union. She was born September 10, 1925, in Auburn, New Hampshire, a daughter of the late Amedee Martineau and Bertha Poulette Martineau. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.P. Crunkleton; daughters, Judy Murphy and Laura Pruitt; and brothers, Rowland and Rene Martineau. Mrs. Crunkleton is survived by two sons, Roy Crunkleton and wife, Sheila, and Bill Crunkleton, and wife, Melissa, all of Monroe; brothers, Donald, Raymond, and Francis Pete Martineau; grandchildren, Laura Murphy, Patti Bowman, Steven, Cody, and Jesse Crunkleton; four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 16, 2015, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.
