Irene Jacoba Lopez Villa

Irene Jacoba Lopez Villa, 95, of Monroe, NC passed away on Sunday evening, June 12, 2022 at Hospice of Union County with her family by her side. Mrs. Lopez was born on Wednesday, October 20, 1926 and was the daughter to the late Ponciano Lopez and Eufemia Villa. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ezequiel Garcia on January 14, 2003. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, as well as three sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on behalf of Mrs. Lopez at 12:00 PM Thursday afternoon, June 16, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 725 Deese Street, Monroe, NC with Rev. Fr. Benjamin A. Roberts as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 PM on Wednesday evening, June 15, 2022 at Gordon Funeral Service & Crematory, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC. Committal Services will be 11:00 AM Friday morning, June 17, 2022 in Lakeland Memorial Park.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, 3 sons, Isidro Garcia (Maria Garcia), Donato Garcia (Ofelia Rayas), Miguel Garcia (Raquel Garcia), 3 daughters, Margarita Garcia, Marta Garcia and Carolina Garcia (Trininda Garcia), sisters, Cecilia Lopez and Tomasa Lopez. She is also survived by twenty-seven grandchildren and many great--grandchildren.

Irene will be forever missed by her loving and devoted children, family and many dear friends.
