Irene Jando Patrus

Mrs. Irene Rita Jando Patrus, 91, of Monroe, NC passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. She was born in Wayne County, MI on February 24, 1931 daughter to the late John Jando and Anna Slack Jando. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband Walter Stanley Patrus and their son Donald Patrus.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 725 Deese Street, Monroe, NC 28112. Entombment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM until 10:45AM in the church.

She was a very loving mother, grandmother and GiGi. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards and had an amazing artistic talent. She loved life and had a wonderful sense of humor.

Irene is survived by her daughter, Susan Patrus Helms (David), and two sons, Mark Patrus (Kim) and John Patrus, four grandchildren, Walt Patrus (Becca), Lauren Patrus-Betzel (Scott), Hannah Helms and Chandler Helms, as well as five great-grandchildren, Raelynn Jefferson-Helms, Aubree Jones, Charles and Hayden Patrus and Emmett Betzel.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
