Irene Watkins Price

Irene Watkins Price, 82, of Indian Trail passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 27, 2019 after a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was born in Union County on January 20, 1937 to the late Lonnie and Elma Hargett Watkins. She was also preceded in death by her son Tony Price, two brothers; Wade Watkins and Bill Watkins, two sisters; Marie Rushing and Jean Godfrey. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1417 W. Unionville Indian Trail Rd, Indian Trail, NC 28079. Burial will follow in Price Cemetery, 5014 Friendly Baptist Church Rd., Indian Trail, NC 28079. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30pm until 1:45pm. Irene was survived by her devoted husband, Rev. Loyd Lamar Price, son Terry Price, (Angela) two daughters; Debbie Price Taylor, (Tony) Donna Price Hinson, (Phillip) brother Rick Watkins, (Brenda) of St. Petersburg FL, six grandchildren; Kyle Taylor, Aaron Taylor, Jessica Hinson, Ashley Measmer, Mary Beth Baucom, Bradley Price and six great-grandchildren.
