Irene Clagett Urbano died peacefully at home with her family on Saturday, July 16, 2016. She was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Viola and Herbert Clagett. She was president of the Auxiliary to the NC Chiropractic Association. After working with Herb in his practice, she earned her Master's Degree at UNCC, graduating with honors. She worked at Piedmont Mental Health for 13 years as an Addiction Counselor. She was a member of First Presbyterian, serving as a Stephen Minister, worked in the library and taught English as a second language. Her hobbies included reading, needlepoint, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Irene was devoted to her family and strong in her faith. She leaves behind her loving husband, Dr. Herbert A. Urbano, who cared for her in sickness and health; daughter, Cynthia Wyatt and her late husband, Barry; son, Archie Morgan and daughter-in-law, Pamela Morgan; step-sons, Brian Urbano and the late Craig Urbano; three grandchildren, Stephanie Roskoskey, Addison Morgan, and Meredith Wyatt; and one great-grandchild, Lana Wyatt. She also leaves behind two nieces, Vickie Wardell and Mary Bergeson. A graveside service will be held in Lakeland Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at 10:00 AM, conducted by Rev. Paul Saleeby of Benton Heights Presbyterian Church. The family would like to thank Hospice of Union County, where memorials may be made, in lieu of flowers, 700 W.
