Iris Anita Goode

Iris Anita Goode, 86 passed away Friday, May 29, 2020. She was born in Greer, SC on February 24, 1934 to the late Ira Hamilton and Nita Jones Hamilton, and later moved to Forest City, NC. She was also preceded in death by her husband Gordon Stanley Goode and sister, Jean Moore. She graduated from Cool Springs High School. Iris was a talented piano student, and continued to enjoy and play her classical music, favorite (Malaguena). She later married her late husband after a high school reunion. They moved to Charlotte, and then to Waxhaw. She was a loving wife and mother, devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Walkersville Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 6204 Brady Road, Waxhaw, NC 28173. Iris is survived by her sons; Paul Hamilton (Frances) of Gastonia, Joseph Hamilton of Charlotte and Gene Hamilton (Ana) Indian Land, SC sister, Anne Hamilton two grandchildren, Keira Hamilton of Charlotte and Jessica Lemmonds (Dale) of Greenwood, SC.
