Iva Diane Rowell Helms, 75, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017. She was born in Union County on January 23, 1942, daughter to the late John and Iva Baker Rowell. Funeral services for Ms. Helms will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church, 2613 Concord Hwy. Monroe, NC 28110. Burial will follow the service at Price Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112. Ms. Helms is survived by two sons, Mark Helms, wife Robin of Monroe, Rodney Helms, fiancé Terra Casper of Cleveland, GA, daughter, Susan Helms, husband Tim of Monroe, brother Leonard Rowell of Monroe, eleven grandchildren, Melissa Horne, husband Josh, Sarah Helms, Alyson Helms, Andrew Helms, fiancé Amelia Coley, Michele Helms, Patrick Helms, Jessica Helms, Hannah Helms, Nicholas Helms, Olivia Helms, and Sophia Helms, and a great grandchild, Hadley Horne.
