Iva Mae (Walkup) Noles

Iva Walkup Noles, 84, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015. She was born August 9, 1930 in Union County, daughter of the late William Albert and Sarah Sistare Walkup. Iva was a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and best friend. She was a life long member of Tirzah Presbyterian Church, active in the work of the Eastern Star and the Waxhaw Women’s Club. Iva enjoyed working in the yard with her flowers, singing in the choir, reading and traveling. She worked for 42 years with Springs Industries, but what she really loved was her friends and family. Iva will be missed by all of us who loved her and counted her as a friend. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM in Tirzah Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends and relatives following the service. Mrs. Noles is survived by her husband, Harold Lee Noles; daughter, Susan Wiley and husband Ed of Moncks Corner, SC and a grandson, Christopher Lee Wiley of Panama City, Florida.
