Jack Fowler

Andrew Jack Fowler, 85, passed away Monday, January 30, 2017. He was born December 11, 1931 in Union County, son to the late Andrew Claren, Rossie Helms Fowler. He is also preceded in death by two brothers Harold Fowler, and Paschal Fowler. Mr. Fowler was a retiree form Teledyne Allvac after 38 years working from August 1958 until March 1996. He served on the Union Memorial Hospital Board from 1979 until 1995, and Hospice Board from 1989 until 2002. Jack was named Union County Chamber Man of the Year in 1992. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Gordon Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe NC 28112. Jack is survived by his loving wife Ruby Helms Fowler, a son Jack Fowler, Jr, wife Melanie Trull, of Durham, two daughters; Jan Helms, husband Lane, Crystal Parker, husband Mike, all of Monroe, a brother Hoyte Fowler, four sisters; Christine Scott, Katherine Mullis, Remonia McGee, all of Monroe, and Meldonia Simpson of Indian Trail, two grandchildren; Miranda Mills, husband Rocky, and Andrew Helms, wife Kaitlyn.
