James Bartlett

James Arthur Bartlett Jim WAXHAW - James Jim Arthur Bartlett, 83, loving husband, father and grandfather, went to be with his Lord and Savior December 15, 2012. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 5, 1929, son of the late James Leslie Bartlett and Anna Genevieve Dwyer Bartlett. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He previously worked for General Electric, Data Processing of the South and most recently worked for the Charlotte Police Department for 11 years. He has been very active in his church, Mineral Springs UMC, for many years. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joanne Brenda Bain Bartlett, daughter, Susan Still and her husband Mark Still of Braselton, GA and son, Joseph Joey Bartlett and his wife Brooke Bartlett of Monroe, NC. Jim has five grandchildren whom he loved very much, Kayla, Tanner, Grant, Martin and Olivia. He also leaves behind two sisters Marge Radigan and Anna Mae Donelan. The family will receive friends Wednesday December 19, 2012 from 6-9pm at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave., Monroe, NC 28112. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday December 20, 2012 at 1pm in Mineral Springs United Methodist Church, Mineral Springs NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
