James Eugene Blackwell, 76, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018. He was born December 28, 1941 in Gaffney, SC son of the late Fort James Made,ine Blackwell. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, October 22, 2018 in Gordon Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Monroe City Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Frances Simpson Blackwell, two sons; Timothy Blackwell (Vicki), and Frank Blackwell (Wanda), a brother, Donald Blackwell, seven grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
