BUSH, B. JAMES B. James Bush Jim, 72, passed away September 18, 2013 at home while under hospice care after a long battle with cancer. His wife, children and best friend, Bob Finton, were at his bedside. Jim was born January 18, 1941 in Jackson, MI, son of the late William Berwyn and Ruth Eleanor Doty Bush. He was also preceded in death by grandson, Billy Lagerstrom. He attended the University of Michigan and spent most of his career working for the Bell System and eventually retired from Lucent Technologies. He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Sandi) and his children with his first wife Joan: Nicole Jeppesen (Taylor) from Knoxville, TN, Chris Bush (Maggi) from Mooresville, NC, and David Bush (Amy) also from Knoxville, TN; and seven grandchildren, along with a sister, Brenda Wilkes (Jim) from Naples, FL. At his request, there will be no memorial service; a wake will be planned for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his name may be made to: Hospice of Union County, Monroe, NC, The Prostate Cancer Foundation, or any animal rescue group.
