James Carroll Mangum

Dateline: Monroe, NC James Carroll Mangum, 71, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013. He was born October 6, 1941 in Union County, son of the late Clarence William and Esther Walden Mangum. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul H. Mangum and sister, Ruby Lee M. Helms. Mr. Mangum is survived by his brother, Clarence Mangum, Jr. and wife Elsie of Rock Hill and sisters, Irene M. Robinson and Loretta M. Chaney and husband Hayden, all of Monroe and Linda M. Carraway and husband Bill of Waxhaw. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Altan Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will visit with relatives and friends Friday, May 17, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112.
