James Griffin

James Griffin, 84, passed away November 3, 2011. He was born March 27, 1927 in Lancaster County, SC, son of the late Floyd and Ruth McManus Griffin. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Stevens. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Gordon Funeral Chapel, 1904 Lancaster Avenue, Monroe, NC 28112. Burial will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends and relatives from 1:00 – 1:45 PM prior to the service. Mr. Griffin is survived by his son, James D. Griffin of Monroe; sisters, Josephine Richardson and Rachel Liles both of Monroe, Mary Massey of Ft. Mill; brothers, Robert, Dillon and Carroll W. Griffin, all of Monroe; and three dogs he loved so much, Lady Bird, Doole and Rusty.
