James “Jimmy” Edwin Teague, 74, of Monroe, NC passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026. He was born in Charlotte, NC on October 27, 1951, son to the late Robert Teague and Violet Taylor Teague.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in the Chapel of Gordon Funeral Service, with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Gordon Funeral Service, 1904 Lancaster Ave. Monroe, NC 28112.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Debbie Johnson Teague, son, Jon Turner, two daughters, Rebecca Ann Hill (Jody), Sondra Rorie, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Randy Teague (Pat), Bobby Teague (Phyllis), and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to the Levine Cancer Institute of Monroe, 1550 Faulk St. Suite 1500 Monroe NC 28112.
