James McSwain McGee, 78, of Monroe, passed away November 19, 2022. He was born May 19, 1944 a son to the late, Willie Edward McGee, Sr. and Lula Hemby McGee. James was a member of Walkersville Evangelical Presbyterian Church, were he served two terms as Ruling Elder. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A true people person; to know him was to love him and you always knew where you stood with him.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 26, 2022 at Walkersville Evangelical Presbyterian Church 6204 Brady Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 PM at the church before the service.

James is survived by his wife of 48 years, Clara McGee, two sons, Stephen (Kirsten) and Travis, two brothers, Willie Edward "Dub" McGee, Jr., John McGee (Nancy), three grandchildren, Kylie, Connor, Kassidy.
